OUR TASK
CNBetter Media was white-labeled by LIQUID SOUL to serve as publicity director for AMC Network’s exclusive, immersive Walking Dead super teaser event during Super Bowl weekend in Atlanta. Designed to build buzz around the Season 9 mid-season premiere, the activation needed high-profile media attention, seamless celebrity engagement, and a polished red carpet experience worthy of one of television’s most iconic series.
OUR SOLUTION
We executed a comprehensive publicity and press management strategy that elevated the event into one of Super Bowl weekend’s standout cultural moments:
- Targeted Media Relations: Pitched local and national outlets across general market and African American/Urban media for pre-event, on-site, and post-event coverage.
- Celebrity Spotlight: Leveraged music producer and Atlanta native Dallas Austin as host and secured interviews that tied the event into Super Bowl excitement while highlighting his connection as both location host and Walking Dead fan.
- Red Carpet Management: Coordinated talent arrivals and media placement with real-time communication to maximize coverage of each high-profile guest. Managed tip sheets, press credentials, and curated photo/interview opportunities for seamless flow.
- Immersive Event Experience: Guests previewed an exclusive Season 9 super teaser while immersed in a Walking Dead-themed environment, complete with character models, interactive photo stations with Negan’s infamous bat “Lucille,” and cinematic set pieces designed for social sharing.
- Post-Event Amplification: Distributed an official recap package including event photography, video highlights, and exclusive show assets to extend visibility beyond the event itself.
