OUR TASK
CNBetter Media was contracted to lead in-market publicity and press engagement for the Black Church PAC during the height of the 2024 presidential election cycle—one of the most politically charged and culturally sensitive moments in recent history.
The organization required immediate support to amplify its Vote or Else civic engagement initiative in Detroit, which included large-scale community canvassing, celebrity-driven voter mobilization, a major town hall conversation, and the launch of a cultural soundtrack for the movement.
The Challenge:
Execution was unfolding in real time, details were incomplete or shifting, and partner alignment was inconsistent—yet expectations for impact, visibility, and credibility were extremely high.
Our role was to step in, stabilize the narrative, protect the client, and deliver results on the ground.
OUR SOLUTION
CNBetter Media operated as the primary in-market PR lead, managing press, messaging, and real-time problem solving amid fast-moving and unpredictable conditions.

Crisis Management: Town Hall Pivot
The day culminated in a highly anticipated “Democracy or Else: Town Hall & Celebrity Debate.” Due to a breakdown in partner-led marketing and promotion, the event faced a critical challenge: no public audience turnout in a large convention-center ballroom.
With the client under visible stress and reputational risk high, CNBetter Media:
The panel—featuring nationally recognized activists, artists, and cultural leaders—was recorded in full and later distributed via YouTube and press channels, allowing the conversation to reach audiences far beyond the room and preserving the integrity of the moment.
Post-Event Press Servicing
OUR RESULTS
Despite disorganization, compressed timelines, and live-event challenges, the Detroit activation delivered meaningful visibility and cultural impact:
The Vote or Else: Detroit activation demonstrated CNBetter Media’s ability to lead under pressure, think strategically in real time, and execute with clarity when conditions are far from ideal.
By stepping into chaos with calm authority, we protected the client’s mission, amplified their message, and ensured the work reached the audiences it was meant to serve—proving that effective publicity is not just about planning, but about commanding the moment when plans fall apart.
